The Old Milltown Police Station B&B

The former Milltown Police Station at 8 Piper Street, Bathurst (corner of Havannah Street) is a National Trust classified building dating from 1884. In 2015 this classic Georgian structure was transformed into luxury Bed and Breakfast accommodation. With the recent addition of a newly built ‘bathhouse’ it offers 2 spacious bedrooms with modern ensuite bathroom facilities. There is ample parking and both rooms are on ground level, with their own private entry and individual garden seating. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerator, iron/ironing board, television, free wi-fi and is centrally heated with luxury inclusions. A continental breakfast is served in the rooms which have a small dining facility.

It is located in South Bathurst, in the area previously known as Milltown, after the 10 flour mills which were once in this location. Mount Panorama and the Charles Sturt University are in close proximity, while it is only a 3 minute walk to Bathurst railway station, Keppel Street cafes and boutiques. 10 minutes to the CBD, Macquarie River foreshores and showground facilities.

Whole house rentals are available and can accommodate a maximum of 7 people in 4 bedrooms. There are 4 bathrooms, 3 of the bedrooms have ensuite facilities, a fully equipped modern kitchen and laundry facilities with Miele appliances.

A stroll in surrounding streets reveals many small quaint cottages which reflect the humble beginnings of the early settlers. Steeped in history, Bathurst offers many diverse cultural experiences.
