Bathurst 1000 Car Races has been running since 1960 Armstrong 500-mile race at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit it was relocated to Bathurst in 1963. It continued as a 500-mile, race until 1973 when it became the Bathurst 1000 Race that we know it today. Supercars announced an official crowd figure for this event was 204 069. The Bathurst 1000 is just a great big party with all things cars from start to finish; it is a lot of fun.
