Artists from Bathurst and surroundings villages open their studio/gallery space to the public on the first full weekend each month. On the Trail there are painters, both traditional and contemporary in style, potters, photographers and a sculptor. Entry is free with visitors welcome for a chat and possibly the opportunity to see the artist at work. Sales are welcome but not expected so please do not feel that walking through the door means that you have to buy. www.bathurstartstrail.com has a full list of all the artists, each artist having their own page with images of their work, and you can also see who is open and who might be closed on the next Art Trail weekend. Most of the artists are also more than happy to show you through their studio at other times provided prior contact is made to arrange a mutually convenient time.
