Singing for Harmony
March 23, 2024 @ 10:00 am – March 24, 2024 @ 3:30 pm
Led by Mara and Llew Kiek, the two days will conclude with a small showcase of the music learnt over the weekend. This showcase will be free for family and friends to attend. Participants will learn singing techniques as well as choral music from Eastern Europe with a particular focus on the rich culture of the Balkans.
This weekend of activity celebrates Harmony Week and aims to increase cultural understanding through the universal language of music.
Open to individuals as well as choirs, a joy of singing and a willingness to learn is all you need. The ability to read music is helpful but not essential. The two day workshop is suitable for young people in high school through to senior members of the community.
