Proclamation Day

Proclamation Day acknowledges the shared history of Bathurst with the Wiradjuri people and wider Bathurst community. The event is held at Bicentennial Park in the exact location Governor Lachlan Macquarie raised the flag marking Bathurst, Australia’s first inland European settlement in 1815. The community is invited to explore the rich history of Bathurst, with a self-guided tour of The Delightful Spot Trail.
