Local Writers’ Showcase

Bathurst Library is pleased to be holding the inaugural Local Writers’ Showcase celebrating, connecting and inspiring writers in our community across the Central West.

The event will begin with a short Q&A with each writer before opening up to a chance for the audience and writers alike to mingle, share and connect. Discussions may involve talking about writing processes, inspiration, writing themes such as LGBTQI+, addiction and more, plus roads to publication, tips and advice.
As with all library events, respect for authors, audience and staff is paramount with a no tolerance approach to offensive language and behaviour.

Tamsin Lilywhite, Dot West, Brooke McFadden, Rachel Jackson, Judy Cannon, Seana Smith, Christine Bailey, Sarah Swift, James Lau, Megan White and Juliet Vrakas.
Our line up of writers/illustrators includes children’s middle grade fiction, picture book authors, memoir, fantasy, an illustrated travel diary, non-fiction, readings based on personal experiences and more.
Booksplus Bathurst will be in attendance on the day.
