HILL END EASTER MARKETS

The local community will be showcasing their artisan delights, such as clothing, crafty abilities, art/photography, jam/honey and preserves. We even have stuff you don’t really need. “There are enough products in this town to rival any of the bigger city markets,” commented Ms Lorraine Purcell, convener of the Hill End & Tambaroora Gathering Group. Ian and Julie Hodge are busy organizing stall holders. But there’s always room for more! We welcome new stall holders. Lorraine further adds, “If the numerous ancestors whose portraits hang inside the hall could speak, they’d say, “Save these delightful vintage collectibles, give them a new home, look after them for us!”

This is a self-funded event and money raised by some of the stalls goes to local causes, as well as helping to maintain the work of the Hill End & Tambaroora Gathering Group and Hill End Family History. The Gathering Group and Hill End Family History are voluntary non-profit organizations and assist people undertaking family history research on their ancestors from the district and rely on donations and funds raised at the markets to continue their work. Come along and see what you can find.
