Hill End and Tambaroora Gathering Group Easter Market
April 16 @ 9:30 am – 4:00 pm
The hall will be bursting at the seams with bric-a-brac, clothing, vintage jewellery, crockery, kitchenalia, artworks, a raffle and other items. Don’t just read about it, come see for yourself.
The local community supports our market by displaying their crafty abilities, and they have been again enthusiastically preparing for the upcoming event. “There are enough products in this town to rival any of the bigger city markets,” commented Ms Lorraine Purcell, convener of the Hill End & Tambaroora Gathering Group. “If the numerous ancestors whose portraits hang inside the hall could speak, they’d say, “Save these delightful vintage collectibles, give them a new home, look after them for us!”
The point is you can never be too greedy except when it comes to Dennis’ sausage sizzle. “We will be out the front of the Hall with the tastiest and best value sausage sandwiches in town, providing that gastronomic experience that no fundraising event should be without!” says Dennis.
This is a self-funded event and money raised by some of the stalls goes to local causes, including the school, as well as helping to maintain the work of the Hill End & Tambaroora Gathering Group and Hill End Family History. The Gathering Group and Hill End Family History are voluntary non-profit organisations and assist people undertaking family history research on their ancestors from the district and rely on donations and funds raised at the markets to continue their work.
