Guided Tour of Perthville Convent Heritage Centre – Autumn Colours Heritage Festival Event

Enjoy a visit to Perthville Convent Heritage Centre, site of the first Convent of the Sisters of Saint Joseph in New South Wales. Begin with morning tea in Sisters’ dining room, followed by a guided tour of the Centre. View the historic buildings and learn of the Sisters’ story. The beautiful surrounds, the peaceful chapel and the Sisters’ cemetery are included in the tour. The Ministry room also forms part of the tour.

Interestingly, both Saint Mary MacKillop and Fr Julian Tenison Woods, who founded
this uniquely Australian religious congregation in Penola, South Australia in 1866,
each visited this Perthville site.
