Charles Sturt University (CSU) Bathurst Campus

Charles Sturt University is the leading educational institution in regional Australia, with the Bathurst Campus being the Head Quarters of the University. Charles Sturt University offers degrees across a broad range of fields. The Bathurst campus has excellent facilities including:

Students can choose between catered and self-catered accommodation options on campus with over 1100 beds available on site. Bathurst also has rental student accommodation available privately or managed through one of the town's Real Estate agents.

The history of Bathurst Campus dates back to 1895 with the establishment of the Bathurst Experimental Farm. The Bathurst Teachers' College was established on the site of the Bathurst Experimental Farm. The first students commenced their training on 12 March 1951, although the College was not officially opened until 9 November 1951. Formed progressively through the merger of regional institutions in south-western and western New South Wales, Charles Sturt University (CSU) was formally incorporated on 19 July 1989 under the Charles Sturt University Act 1989.

Western Institute of TAFE

Bathurst College is a major centre for access and general education and trade programs as well as courses in business, hospitality, information technology and management. The college specialises in bricklaying, children's services, communication and media, design, digital media, fitness, human resources management, refrigeration and air conditioning and welfare courses, with some at diploma level.

Bathurst College campus is located at Panorama Avenue.

(U3A) University of the Third Age

The Bathurst U3A is a part of the University of the Third Age movement which arranges courses in which people over 50 (the 3rd age) can use their leisure time to learn and teach together. All U3As are volunteer groups, autonomous from one another, and run by an elected committee of local members.
