Way Ahead is a Directory for mental health, containing up to date information on over 4200 mental health and welfare related services across NSW. It can be accessed at any time for consumers, carers, families, friends, professionals and the general public. Access is free.

The Bathurst Information and Neighbour Centre

A nucleus for volunteer services and programs in Bathurst. The Centre offers an information and referral service that helps people find information they need on:- community services, local associations, self help groups and leisure activities. It is a great place for those who are new to Bathurst and want to access local networks and services; also for those who have a need or query and are not sure where to go for help or support. For those who wish to expand their interests and activities or wish to contribute to the community through volunteering, BINC can help you investigate the possibilities. BINC is your Community Centre and welcomes you to pop in for a cuppa and a chat, change the baby or wait for an appointment.

Bathurst Regional Art Gallery

The Bathurst Regional Art Gallery has a reputation that has gained international recognition demonstrating Bathurst Regional Council's commitment to ensure the Region is a major cultural centre. The Gallery has forged strong links with surrounding townships and within the local community to create a vibrant space showcasing the full spectrum of artistic endeavour. Built in 1989, it was the first purpose built regional gallery in NSW, and provides professional development opportunities for local and regional artists. The Gallery is a creator of quality touring exhibitions, and operates the highly celebrated Hill End Artists in Residence Program. Located on historic Keppel Street, Bathurst Regional Art Gallery offers entry free of charge and wheelchair access, open Tuesday to Sunday.

The Bathurst Regional Library

The Library is open to all ages to make use of our facilities or just somewhere to get a good book. During school holidays the Library runs activities for those looking for something to do or to help out those whose parents can't take the time off. The Library also offers a delivery service for those who are housebound!

Bathurst Community Transport

Offers a door to door service assisting people to be able to live independently in their own homes. The group uses paid drivers and volunteers for the main transport service in and around Bathurst itself. The volunteers provide out of town medical transport, social trips and shopping runs for the surrounding rural villages such as Hill End, Sofala & Rockley. Bathurst Community Transport Group has 4 mini buses, 3 of which are wheelchair accessible and three sedan vehicles which supply the out of town transport.

Bathurst Disability Access Grants

BRAC logoBathurst Regional Council provides grants to assist local small businesses and non-profit organisations to improve access to their business for people with a disability.

Businesses and non-profit organisations within the Bathurst region may apply for funding of either 50% of project costs, or up to a maximum of $5,000 on a dollar for dollar basis.

Projects must be completed within the current financial year to be eligible to apply for a grant. Retrospective funding will be considered providing the project is completed in the current financial year.
