Local journalist, documentary-maker and writer Tracy Sorensen will be launching her eagerly awaited debut novel, The Lucky Galah, being published by Picador/PanMacmillan. This wonderful novel is set in remote Western Australia at the time of the moon landing in 1969. The coastal town of Port Badminton hosts the great Dish, a relay for messages between Apollo 11 and Houston, Texas, at a pivotal time when Armstrong took that first step.  A novel about Australia, fate and what it means to be human, it is narrated by the loveable, irascible and insightful character of Lucky the Galah.  The book launch for The Lucky Galah promises to be a fun celebration of this terrific book.
